Scampton • St John the Baptist

Scampton - Copyright Churches Festival
As well as containing Bodley and Garner windows, St John the Baptist churchyard contains many war graves, British, Commonwealth and German. We are providing an exhibition on contributions made by Lincolnshire to the First World War and have researched those who flew from either Scampton or South Carlton airfields who died during the conflict.

We have an RAF Chapel containing Squadron Shields and Honours Board. Outside there are war graves, both allied and German and a rose-bed dedicated to John Hannah VC.
