Cabourne St. Nicholas’ tower is of architectural interest and considered to be of Anglo-Saxon origin. The tower walls are 3 feet 9 inches thick. The tower arch stands about 15 feet high and is 6 feet wide. The rough cut foundation stones can be seen at the west end of the nave. The spring in the field to the north of the church is linked to St Nicholas and baptism.
