Nettleton • St John the Baptist

Nettleton - Copyright Churches Festival
The most notable feature of our church, nestled in a valley at the foot of the Wolds, is the tower. Except for the 15th century top stage and buttresses, it was built in late Saxon times. To celebrate the recent restoration of the woodworm-ravaged choir stalls, there will be demonstrations each day, from 1-4pm of woodcarving, in addition to a themed display. Visitors will receive a warm welcome, light refreshments and a chance to browse amongst the many plants and books for sale.
