Glentham • St Peter & Our Lady

The front porch of our church is adorned with the Tournay Arms and a rare medieval ‘pieta’, a representation of the Virgin with the dead Christ across her knees.

We have stained glass by Whale and box pews.

Stainfield • St Andrew

‘Simply Stainfield St Andrews’ celebrates the rich heritage of this beautiful Queen Anne church set amidst picturesque parkland, on the site of a Benedictine nunnery.

The Viking Way passes by the church, reputed to be designed by Christopher Wren.

View the magnificent 18th century Tyrwhitt Tapestries, wonder at the local Wild Man legend, and contemplate the nunnery, church and village history in this tranquil setting.

Open gardens, homemade cakes, lunches and afternoon teas available at Hill House all weekend.

Nettleton • St John the Baptist

Visitors will receive a warm welcome, light refreshments and a chance to browse amongst the many plants and books for sale. ‘Colours of the Rainbow’ will be our theme for our floral decorations.

Our church, nestled in a valley at the foot of the Wolds on the Viking Way retains its Saxon origins and has a notable tower.

Middle Rasen • St Peter and St Paul

A warm welcome awaits everyone at St Peter & St Paul’s.

Through the south entrance door, a splendid example of Norman work with three bands of mouldings of continuous motif, an inner zigzag, a middle band of crenellation and an outer band of beakheads. It is among the country’s most impressive Norman doorways.

Displays will focus on ‘Holiday Memories’. Various hot homemade soups, bread rolls, tea, coffee, cold drinks, cakes and biscuits will be served both days.

Great Limber • St Peter

St Peter’s is a Grade I listed building is situated within the conservation area of Great Limber village. Attractive pond and village hall are close by.

The church was built in the 12th century with 13th, 14th, 16th and 19th additions.

The lych gate was built in 1912.

The tower has three bells dating from 1595. The chancel arch is crossed by a rood loft of recent construction.

Interior restoration is by William Butterfield in 1854-64.

Claxby • St Mary

You will get a warm welcome at this 14th century church, much altered in the 1870s.

We have good Victorian stained glass, a founder’s tomb and an elaborate 16th century memorial as well as two corbel ends showing faces with tongues sticking out.

There will be a display of christening gowns and wedding dresses covering various decades.

Bardney - St Lawrence

St Lawrence, Bardney (Ashley Taylor for The National Churches Trust)

Come along and see our new stained glass window dedicated to RAF IX(b) Squadron.

Harpist Eira Lynn Jones and singer Kate Witney present a varied programme of music from 11am-12noon both days.

Organist Paul Savage 2pm-3pm both days.

Exhibition of stones from Bardney Abbey, plant, stall, tombola and craft stalls. New servery and toilets opened 2024.
